Supermarkets in Labasa Town have been busy as people are doing their shopping in preparation for the tropical depression.
Labasa Police have confirmed that they have noticed while out patrolling that people are also putting up shutters and clearing up any rubbish by their homes that may cause any damage to their property.
Police say the weather in Labasa in the last 24 hours has been overcast with a few showers though people are preparing for the worst.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Roads Authority says Waidradra Crossing on Vatulili Road in the Naitasiri Province and Colata Crossing on Colata Road in the Tailevu Province are still underwater and impassable.
The Authority says they are monitoring the situation at these two crossings.
