Parts of Viti Levu without power

A number of areas in Viti Levu are still without power supply.

FEA say they are still working on normalising power supply as a number of feeders tripped from around 11.30am today.

FEA say power supply has normalised in some areas of the Western and Central Division.

No explanation has been provided on the cause of the tripping.

They say power supply is expected to normalise tonight.

Meanwhile, FEA say as work on the Main Inlet Valve at the Wailoa Power Station is scheduled to start tonight, people are advised to turn off their electrical appliances if they start experiencing power outage over the weekend.

Work at the Wailoa Power Station is expected to be completed by Monday afternoon.
