Parts of Nasinu facing water supply disruptions can expect water supply to normalise later this afternoon

The thousands of people in parts of Nasinu that have been facing water supply disruptions since Thursday night can expect water supply in their areas to normalise later this afternoon.

Fijivillage has been receiving calls from people living in parts of Khalsa Road, Tacirua, Valelevu, Kalabu and Newtown who say they had water restored last night only to have another disruption this morning.

The Water Authority of Fiji says the water supply system in Tovata had experienced mechanical issues at the booster pumps and this caused slight delays in the restoration efforts.

It says ground teams rectified the fault moments ago and supply should be normalized in the affected areas by this afternoon.

Restoration coverage is now at 95%.
