Pareti thrives 1 year after lifesaving heart surgery

One year after undergoing lifesaving heart surgery, 1 year 5 months old Makereta Pareti is now much happier and active.

She will be celebrating the one year anniversary of her heart surgery later this month which was conducted at the Sai Sanjeevani Children's Heart Hospital.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Makereta mother, Naomi Pareti says her daughter was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect failure at birth.

Pareti says at only four days old, the doctor at Sai Sanjeevani Children's Hospital had noticed that Makereta had three holes in her heart.

Pareti is also stressing to parents and guardians that if they see any sign of slow growth in their children then they need to take them to the hospital, especially the Sai Prema Foundation for a check.

She adds the story of her daughter will serve as a life testimony to everyone, showing that with God, nothing is impossible.
