Pacific Mini Games: Roberts and Inoke win gold in Heptathlon and Octathlon events

Reki Roberts claimed gold in the Women’s Heptathlon at the Pacific Mini Games in Palau after a consistent performance while competing in seven challenging events.

She says Heptathlon is no easy event and she is proud of everyone who took part.

In the Men’s Octathlon, Waisale Inoke won gold after dominating in multiple events.

He finished first in the 100 metres, Long Jump, Shot Put, 100 metres Hurdles and Javelin.

He also placed second in the 400 metres and High Jump and scored a total of 4,927 points.

Meanwhile, Nabili Vatunisolo also won gold for Team Fiji after winning the Women’s Para Ambulant Javelin with a throw of 21.96 metres.

Team Fiji continues to shine at the Games, with more medal hopes ahead.
