Pacific Mini Games: Nehemiah Elder awarded Best Junior Athlete

Marist Brothers High School student and weightlifter, Nehemiah Elder, has been awarded the Best Junior Athlete (Male) at the end of the 2025 Pacific Mini Games in Palau.

Elder won 3 gold medals and also broke a total of 9 records. Weightlifting Fiji President Della Shaw Elder received the Best Technical Official Award.

Va'a Coach, Stanley Ooms received the Overall Best Coach Award.

Team Fiji finished in second place at the games with 27 gold, 30 silver, and 24 bronze, bringing their total to 81 medals.

Tahiti finished in first place with 72 gold, 41 silver, and 29 bronze medals while Samoa finished in third place with 27 gold, 14 silver, and 20 bronze.
