The Fiji Women's Rugby League 9s side kicked off their Pacific Games campaign with a 22-10 win over Samoa, but the side went down to Tonga in their second game this afternoon.
Asenaca Diranuve scored a double against Samoa while captain Salote Suka, Grace Waqa, and Ateca Naucevaceva scored a try each.
In their game against Tonga, the Tongan players scored two quick tries with a successful conversion to take the lead.
Fiji started to get back into the game with a try from Diranuve to take the score to 10-4 at half-time.
Shannon Batibasaga scored a quick try in the second half to take the final score to 10-8.
Fiji will take on Vanuatu at 8.10pm tomorrow.
