The Public Rental Board is working on a new tenancy agreement as there are concerns that some tenants are occupying the property for close to fifty years now.

While inspecting the Natabua, Natakowaqa PRB flats and Simla PRB project, Minister for Local Government and Housing Premila Kumar says that PRB flats is supposed to be a transition and not a permanent home.

Kumar says PRB has been established to assist low income earners to live in the flats and to build their lives once they have got enough savings to move into a home.

Kumar says it could be a failure on the part of the Housing Authority or the Public Rental Board for not having a system where they can identify land and assist low-income earners.
