PM urges Church Executives to improve relations with Govt
Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has today stressed to the 130 Methodist Church ministers that the Methodist Church of Fiji will not be allowed to have their Annual Conference until 2014.

Permanent Secretary for Information, Lt. Colonel Neumi Leweni also confirmed that the Church will not be allowed to hold their monthly circuit meetings.

Lt Colonel Leweni said in a meeting at the Methodist Church office this morning, Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama stressed to the 130 church ministers that the one-day meeting they are currently having is the place for them to discuss issues about the church and their members.

Leweni added in the meeting today, Bainimarama conveyed to the church elders the stance of the government and what they expect them to do.
