Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says Pacific Island negotiators are outnumbered by representatives for fossil fuel by more than 12 to 1 at the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow.

He says they are Team David who are fighting for children’s future against a Goliath powered by ‘clean’ coal.

Bainimarama says he will take quality of purpose over quantity any day of the week.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.

He says he spoke to them about the urgency of dispelling the wealthy world's loss and damage taboo and of filling the emission gap and the financial gap to bridge the global credibility gap on climate.

The Prime Minister also presented a copy of Fiji’s Climate Change Act to Johnson.
