Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has opened the new $300,000 worth duplex quarters that will accommodate Ministry of Fisheries staff in Wainibokasi.

Bainimarama re-emphasised the vital importance of sustainability when it comes to the use of our resources.

Bainimarama says in order to continue reaping the benefits that our fisheries resources offer, we need to work together to sustain these fragile resources and we can never lose sight of the importance of long sightedness.

The Prime Minister further says this is a community effort adding there is no way a single person or organisation can successfully manage these resources, so we must act collectively - both as a community and as a nation - to take this immense responsibility seriously, for the benefit of both current and future generations.
