Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has moved into the official residence of the Prime Minister on Ratu Sukuna Road.

Rabuka says their home in Namadi Heights has been good to them, but the call of the nation means they have to relocate to the home provided for the Head of Government.

He says actually this used to be the residence of the Chief Justice until his predecessor decided to make it the Prime Minister’s residence.

Rabuka adds the real official residence of the Prime Minister is actually next door, it was built during his first time as Prime Minister in 1992 to 1999.

Rabuka says they were a small family then, and they spent some happy days there.

He further says that residence has fallen into disrepair unfortunately, and hopefully once the financial situation of the economy improves, there will be funds available to give it a good face-lift.
