PM confident Lal will add value in further transforming FSC

Prime Minister and Minister for Sugar, Voreqe Bainimarama says he is confident the new Chair of the Fiji Sugar Corporation, Pradeep Lal will add exceptional value in further transforming the FSC.

The new appointment was made following the resignation of Vishnu Mohan, who served as Chair of FSC for nearly 5 years.

Bainimarama says Lal who has served 4 years as Director on the FSC Board has demonstrated a deep commitment and taken the responsibility for key roles in FSC’s transformation.

The Permanent Secretary for Sugar, Yogesh Karan adds Lal has exceptional knowledge and acumen in managing large commercial entities.

Karan says Lal's wealth of experience will contribute significantly towards the government's program of revitalizing the sugar industry.

Lal is the Regional Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Fiji Pte Limited and Managing Director of Vodafone Papua New Guinea (PNG).
