Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is calling on Fijians to stop sharing drinking cups and bilo and is urging people to act with utmost precaution and exercise the habits and hygiene necessary to stop the spread of COVID-19.

He says that Fiji does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 and by working together and remaining vigilant, we can keep our families and communities safe from harm.

Bainimarama says the global scale of COVID-19 threat demands highest levels of global cooperation and this is not a time for any nation to turn their back on the international community because only together, countries can combat the spread of COVID-19 and come out of this crises stronger.

He has thanked the Australian Government and the World Health Organisation for assisting Fiji.
