The People’s Democratic Party still has time to resubmit their application which was found non-compliant with the law with regards to their suspension.
This has been confirmed by the Registrar of Political Parties Mohammed Saneem who says that PDP is currently suspended due to the lack of having office holders.
Saneem says they have asked the current office holders to rectify and resubmit their application which will uplift their suspension.
He says that they have rectified that the MOU between SODELPA and PDP is not a merger.
Saneem says they are also trying to find out on how Vijay Singh was appointed as an office holder for SODELPA.
He says they have referred this matter to FICAC for investigation as to whether Singh breached the Political Parties Act which is on the resignation from a political party.
