Over 37,000 families in the Northern Division are being provided with food ration packs after Cyclone Ana.

Minister for Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu says they expect to complete the distribution of food rations today in parts of Macuata and Cakaudrove.

He says they are trying to organise boats to take the supplies to Yadua and Galoa.

Seruiratu adds two vessels are transporting food rations to the maritime islands in Cakaudrove covering Yacata, Taveuni, Naqelelevu and Laucala.

The Minister for Disaster Management also confirms the State of Natural Disaster for Vanua Levu was extended for another 20 days on Monday and this is to allow officials to continue to provide relief and rehabilitation support.
