Over $200,000 worth of damages after fire at Dreketi Mosque

An early morning fire has caused over $200,000 worth of damges to the Dreketi Mosque this morning.

Dreketi Mosque President, Mohammed Habil Khan says he was notified by a carrier driver about the fire at around 8.30am.

Khan says he is still in shock as they had plans to celebrate Prophet Mohammed’s birthday with the community.

The National Fire Authority is waiting for the report from the Station Officer in Seaqaqa.
