SODELPA Leader Viliame Gavoka says our electoral process is not working and we need to put more confidence building measures in place to help our people.

Gavoka highlighted this while making a submission to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Justice, Law and Human Rights on the electoral bills.

He says almost 91,000 people did not vote in the 2014 elections which increased to 171,000 in 2018.

The SODELPA Leader says this is a huge concern for them as no one can say that our election system is working if a large number of people are not voting.

He has also questioned why people were only allowed to work with numbers without any image of the candidate or symbols of the parties in the last two elections.
