United States of America Navy Vessel 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge LCC 19, the oldest operational Navy Vessel in operation with 1,000 Navy crew members on board, is in Suva as part of its community outreach program and scheduled port visit.

Led by Captain Nicholas C. DeLeo, the Commanding Officer says the tour is part of building relationships within the community, experiencing the richness of Fijian culture and strengthening the foundation of their partnership and future collaboration.

Captain Nicholas says during the port visit, their leadership team will engage with senior officials from the Republic of Fiji Navy and local government leaders.

He says the visit includes opportunities for professional exchanges and collaborative activities, solidifying the strong ties between the two nations.

Captain Nicholas says the vessel is like a small city on a warship that has a lot of history.
