The Fiji Roads Authority says the old Rewa Bridge is strictly out of bound for people as it may partially collapse without warning.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kamal Prasad says they have received complaints regarding people consuming liquor at the old bridge.
Prasad says the deterioration has reached a stage which represents a risk to the public.
He says they are working closely with the Fiji Police Force and the Nausori Town Council to monitor non-compliance.
The old Rewa Bridge was closed indefinitely on 30th June 2017.
