Number of roads are closed in Central and Western divisions due to flooding and landslides

A number of roads are closed in the Central and Western divisions due to flooding and landslides.

The Fiji Roads Authority says Princes Road in Sawani, Waidradra Crossing on Vatulili Road in Naqali, Koroi Road in Naqali, Waiyanitu Road, Old Queens Road in Wainadoi, Namuamua Road in Namosi, Vunaniu Road in Serua, Tokotoko Road in Navua and Railagi Crossing in Valelevu.

FRA says Wailoku Road which was earlier affected by a landslide, is now open to single lane. Work is still in progress to restore both lanes. Traffic controllers are on site to guide the drivers.

Drivers are advised to please follow the directions of the traffic controllers to ensure the safety of other drivers and workmen alike.

As of now, all roads in the Northern and Eastern divisions are open.
