No increase in workers locked out - ATS CEO

Air Terminal Services Limited Acting CEO Hare Mani has disputed claims by the ATS Employees Trust that more workers have walked out of their jobs and have joined the lock out.

Secretary of the ATS Employees Trust, Vili Finau says they do not have the confirmed number of workers that have signed the letters and have returned to work.

He claims that more staff have walked off their jobs.

Finau says they remain positive that this matter will be resolved.

But ATS Acting CEO Hare Mani says that the statement by Finau is unqualified.

Mani is appealing to all workers to think of what is currently happening to Airline services because of their actions.

ATS Board Chairman Riyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum says operations at the Nadi International Airport is continuing with the assistance of Fiji Airways, Air New Zealand, CAAF, chefs from Hilton, AFL and FNU.

He says they have around 639 staff of which 300 are still outside the premises.
