No consultations done on cashless payments and it will be withdrawn - Rabuka
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says there were no consultations done on cashless payments and it will be withdrawn.

Rabuka highlighted to fijivillage News that no Ministry has the authority to stop cash or cheque payments.

This is after concerns were raised by people after the Ministry of Health posted over the weekend that they will no longer accept payments made with cash or cheque from Monday 3rd June.

In January, the Fiji Immigration Department said they will no longer accept payments made with cash or cheques as EFTPOS and M-PAiSA are the only acceptable methods of payment at all Immigration offices.
