Good news as there are no confirmed Novel Coronavirus cases in Fiji.

Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete has confirmed that the test results of the two Fijian citizens who were placed in isolation at the Nadi Hospital after their arrival into Fiji from Guangdong in China, has come back negative.

However, Doctor Waqainabete says a foreign national is currently in isolation in Nadi after contacting the Health Ministry that he has a fever.

The foreign national had come in from Mainland China nine days ago and contacted the Health Ministry after seeing the contact number in the health declaration information card.

The Health Minister confirms the man was not in Wuhan or Hubei.

The person’s test result is expected back within the next few days.
