The Education Ministry has refused to comment on reports that three ministry officials have been sent home for circulating misleading information on the National Toppers Scholarship programme.

When contacted by Fijivillage, Permanent Secretary for Education, Doctor Brij Lal declined to make any comments.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has already warned civil servants against discriminatory practices.

He also said in the Northern Division last week that civil servants should not provide the public with false information.

Fijivillage has received information that the three Education Ministry officials were sent home for circulating misleading scholarship figures and making race based comments.

Education Minister, Filipe Bole said he is unaware of this information and cannot comment on it.
