No charges will be laid against Parmod Chand - DPP
NFP’s Member of Parliament, Parmod Chand

The Director of Public Prosecutions Christopher Pryde has decided that no charges will be laid against NFP’s Member of Parliament, Parmod Chand.

Chand was arrested by police and interviewed on 8th December last year on suspicion of having committed seditious offences as a result of alleged comments he made at a shop in Delailabasa, Labasa on 14th August 2017.

The DPP stated that there is insufficient reliable evidence to support any criminal charges against Parmod Chand and therefore the docket has been returned to police.
