No one has been taken in for questioning as yet in relation to the murder of a Year 9 student at her home in Namara, Labasa.
Police say they will release more information once significant progress has been made.
They say investigators are working around the clock gathering information.
People heard the girl scream for help last Wednesday night and upon checking on her, the landlord discovered her lying near the front door with visible stab wounds.
The 13-year-old was home alone as her mother was yet to return from work.
