Neymar to have ankle surgery and likely out for the rest of the season

Paris St-Germain striker Neymar is set to miss the rest of the Ligue 1 season as he needs surgery on his injured right ankle.

Brazil forward was carried off during PSG's 4-3 home win over Lille with an injured right ankle on the 19th of last month.

PSG says the 31-year-old has suffered several "instances of instability in his right ankle" over recent years, and surgery is needed to avoid a major risk of recurrence.

The Club says it will be three to four months before he can resume training.
