Sleeping on the side of the market in Ba Town while waiting for the market to open will now be a thing of the past with the opening of the newly refurbished Ba Women's Accommodation centre.
The centre which was opened by the Minister for Local Government, Premila Kumar, will support women vendors who travel long distances and hours to sell their produce.
Commending the initiative, 69-year-old Merewai Ratoto of Tabalei Village, highlighted how grateful she is to the government for such initiatives.
She says she will be able to save more money and now they don't have to sleep outside.
