The body of a newborn infant has been found floating near the Abaca Bridge in Lautoka yesterday by a 43-year-old man, who reported the matter to police.
Police say the baby’s body was retrieved and taken to Lautoka Aspen Hospital, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
They have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
