Fiji will have a new public holiday from next year.
Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum confirmed in parliament that Fiji is expected to have a Constitution Day on the 7th of September from 2016.
Other holidays will include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday, National Sports Day, Fiji Day, Diwali, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The Employment Relations Bill will be debated in parliament tomorrow for the change to be included in our laws.
