New multi-million dollar sports complex project at FNU Nasinu campus

The Fiji National University will be embarking on a nationwide campus redevelopment that will cost about $500 million dollars over the next decade.

FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Nigel Healey while speaking at the construction contract signing of the multi-million dollar sports complex says the university can play a lead role in assisting with tackling non-communicable diseases.

Professor Healey stated the state of the art $8 million sports complex will consist of cardio training, rehabilitation , cross-fit and weight lifting, circular machine stations and indoor running for testing and fitness.


The sports complex is expected to take 11 months which will be at the FNU Nasinu campus

He highlighted that the sports facility will provide students with modern equipment.

Healey says the construction of the sports complex is expected to take 11 months which will be at the FNU Nasinu campus.

Healey highlighted that the sports complex will stand as a concrete expression of the University's commitment to the fight against the pandemic of NCD's in Fiji and the Pacific.
