New Zealand records 1,227,383 confirmed cases of Covid-19

New Zealand has now recorded 1,227,383 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 5130 new COVID-19 cases and eight further deaths yesterday.

The Ministry of Health in New Zealand say there are 332 people in hospital, down from 361 the previous day, including four in ICU.

The Ministry said there are 5130 community cases with a total number of publicly reported deaths now 1311.

The Ministry says 132 community cases were reported in Northland, Auckland with 1430 cases, Waikato recorded 351, Bay of Plenty with 207, Lakes recorded 70 cases, Hawke's Bay recorded 153 cases, MidCentral with 250 cases, Whanganui recorded 64 cases, Taranaki with 164 cases, Tairāwhiti recorded 19 cases, Wairarapa with 45 cases, Capital and Coast recorded 506 cases, Hutt Valley with 237 cases, Nelson Marlborough recorded 184 cases, Canterbury (766), South Canterbury (84), Southern (410) and West Coast DHBs.
