The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Major General Jone Kalouniwai has started his tour of the RFMF Units based in the Western Division.

On his first day of the tour, Kalouniwai visited troops deployed to the Fijian Government sanctioned quarantined centres.

The centres include Intercontinental Resort in Natadola, Nalagi Hotel, Nasau Resort & Villas, Tanoa International, Hilton Resort & Spa and Sofitel Resort.

He later visited the Blue Lane Initiative at the Denarau Marina.

While speaking to the troops, the RFMF Commander reiterated the institution’s responsibility in supporting Government’s initiative in its consolidated fight against COVID-19.

He thanked the troops for their perseverance and commitment and reminded them that although Government has relaxed the COVID-19 restrictions, the RFMF as an institution must not be complacent but be vigilant in attending to all given tasks.

The tour continues today.
