New Peri Peri Chicken Outlet opens in Vatuwaqa.

18 new jobs have been created with the opening of the new $420,000 Peri Peri Chicken outlet in Karsanji Street Vatuwaqa.

While opening the outlet, Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says once the borders open and tourists start returning to Fiji, everybody will be scrambling around to invest and take advantage of the opportunities that will remerge.

Sayed-Khaiyum says businesses that have already pre-positioned themselves will not be scrambling.

He adds that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic may be in sight as the UK will start vaccinations from next week.

Meanwhile, the owner of Peri Peri Chicken, Vinesh Dayal says they have had confidence in the economy since 2006.
