8 Aged Care Homes in Fiji continue to receive an influx of applications - Fatiaki

New Labasa Golden Age Home expected to be opened next year

The Labasa Golden Age Home which is undergoing a $4.7 million face-lift is expected to be opened in the beginning of next year.

Director of Social Welfare Rupeni Fatiaki says the facility is a 40-bed unit.

It is designed to have 20 male and 20 female residents and is approximately 1,680 square metres in floor area.

Fatiaki says they are also going to put up a proposal to renovate the two homes managed by the State in Lautoka and Samabula.

Fatiaki says there are eight Aged Care Homes in Fiji and they all have an influx of applications.
