The newly developed Great Council of Chiefs complex will be opened next Tuesday, and following that, the GCC members will meet on Wednesday and Thursday.
The complex was destroyed in a fire in 2019, and analysis revealed that the cause of the fire was a lit mosquito coil.
The cost of completing the building was around $2 million.
GCC Chair Ratu Viliame Seruvakula shares his deepest gratitude for the completion of the GCC building and hopes all GCC members will turn up for the meeting.
He acknowledges the contribution of leaders and representatives from the 14 provinces in past meetings in which some initiatives are currently being implemented.
He says he appreciates the work done in all Government departments and the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
