The A350-900 Airbus is capable of transporting 20 tonnes more cargo, will carry more than 400 passengers and also reduce the flying time from Los Angeles to Nadi by 30 minutes.
This has been highlighted by the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association’s Fantasha Lockington.
Lockington says this will definitely enhance Fiji’s attractiveness as a destination, and the association looks forward to the huge potential for expansion into the United States and other markets.
She adds with the increasing environmental awareness of the travellers around the world, the 25 per cent lower carbon emissions and the 40 per cent lower noise footprint of the new aircraft are important and attractive features for the discerning tourist.
