Former Miss World Fiji Charlene Tafuna’i.

Former Miss World Fiji, Charlene Tafuna’i says we should never doubt making a living out of our creativity.

Tafuna’i has turned a hobby into a business and now owns a small-medium enterprise known as Charlene the Jeweller.

She says the business helped her through one of the most difficult and trying times in her life and that was to generate income when there was none.

Tafuna’i was unemployed for 6 months last year when COVID-19 hit.

She adds even though she is back at work, she is still doing what she loves and it is about finding the right support and balance.

Tafuna’i says she now works 3 to 4 days a week and juggles it with making jewellery and studying.

The Nadi based businesswoman is part of the Garden City Market which is held monthly in Suva and caters for about 80 to 100 vendors who are either entrepreneurs or have lost their jobs due to COVID-19.
