An unemployed man of Tokotoko, Navua is in custody after he was arrested last night for being in possession of illicit drugs.

Police say a total of 171 dried plants believed to be marijuana was confiscated.

The Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Dog Detector Unit searched the suspect’s home in Navua with a search warrant.

They say K9 Herb was released to conduct a search within the premises, which led to the discovery of dried leaves underneath the mattress, bedroom wardrobe and under the kitchen table. Investigations continue.
