A 54-year-old farmer who allegedly raped his 11-year-old niece in Nausori has been remanded in custody by the Suva High Court.
He is facing 6 counts of rape and 2 counts of attempted rape.
The alleged incidents happened between 2017 and this year.
It was heard in court the child was under the care of the accused at his home when the incidents occurred.
He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
The matter has been adjourned to the 11th of December this year.
