The National Disability Awards Night has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disability Gala Awards Night Event Committee Chairperson Rajnel Prasad says this is due to the ongoing crisis of COVID-19 and the restrictions in place.

He says for the safety of their members and the public, they have postponed most of their events this year, but have come up with the baking competition initiative where people can earn something for the organisation and themselves.

Prasad adds those that raise more than $1,000 in three months through the baking competition will receive $500.

He says registration is free and it is not limited to unemployed people, as those who are employed can register for this competition too.
