Nasinu Town Council to install cameras to crack down on illegal dumping

In a bid to crack down on the ongoing issues of illegal dumping, the Nasinu Town Council has partnered with Vodafone Fiji to install CCTV cameras in known hotspot areas.

Council Chairman, Felix Magnus confirmed the initiative, stating that despite regular clean-ups, illegal dumping continues to be a persistent problem in the area.

He says this initiative will allow them to monitor dumping activities, identify offenders, and issue fines where necessary.

The cameras are expected to be installed by the end of this month.
