The villagers of Nananu in Tailevu will soon benefit from a new seawall after Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama visited the village yesterday after the Tailevu Provincial Council meeting.

The seawall will be built with mangroves, boulders and the vetiva grass concept.

Bainimarama says the sea was encroaching into their village and the villagers had asked for the seawall some years back.

Minister for Waterways and Environment Dr. Mahendra Reddy and his team visited the village today.
