Namosi celebrates Ratu Suliano's release from prison

More than 300 villagers from the Vanua of Nabukebuke in Namosi witnessed the release of the Turaga na Tui Namosi, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua from prison.

Ratu Suliano served 19 months in prison.

The welcome ceremony of Ratu Suliano was held in his village at Veivatuloa in Namosi.

Veronika Gukibau told fijivillage News that as siblings, the chiefly family and the Vanua were prepared and looking forward to today.

Gukibau says the family will have to accompany Ratu Suliano as he will be alone since his wife has passed away.

She also acknowledged the Vanua of Nabukebuke for organizing a major celebration today.

Ratu Suliano did not make any comments.
