Serious concerns have been raised regarding the deplorable condition of Naividamu Road in Seaqaqa where a Dalip Chand and Sons Limited bus is seen stuck in the muddy and soggy road.

Photos supplied to Fijivillage show the bus tyres stuck in the soggy road and the soil is touching the steps of the bus.

The road looks in an unusable state and needs immediate major maintenance work.

We also spoke to the Director of Dalip Chand and Sons Limited, Rohinil Chand who says his buses have suffered a lot of damage because of the bad road conditions in Seaqaqa.

He says they have no option but to provide bus services to the students and the working public in Naividamu, however there is also a great risk to the lives of the passengers as major accidents can occur while driving on the soggy road.

He says the Fulton Hogan Hiways through their digger have pulled their buses on numerous occasions.

Chand says the road lacks proper drainage.

When contacted, the Fiji Roads Authority stated that they are aware of the road condition and a response is expected soon.
