Team Fiji's taekwondo rep Lolohea Naitasi went down fighting against world number five Julyana Alsadeq from Jordan in the Women’s -67kg Taekwondo competition in Paris last night.

17-year-old Naitasi says this was the best fight she had.

Naitasi says she took the advice of her coach Master Ra and enjoyed every minute of her performance.

She says she was overwhelmed by the support from her team and Oceania teams that came out to support her at her Olympics debut.

After making history and qualifying for Fiji in Taekwondo for the first time, Naitasi has her eyes set on the the 2028 Olympics that will be held in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the USA is currently leading the official Olympics medal tally with 32 gold, 39 silver and 39 bronze followed by China with 32 gold, 26 silver and 23 bronze, Australia is third with 18 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze while Japan is fourth with 16 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze.
