76 youths of Naisilai Tropicana Youth Club were overwhelmed after Minister for Youth and Sports, Parveen Kumar Bala, fulfilled his promise by handing over a fiberglass boat and engine.

The assistance was the result of a talanoa session that was held early this year following the closure of a Boat Master License Class 6 training.

He says the assistance will empower the youths and give them the opportunity of using their license for self-income-generating opportunities.

Bala also acknowledges the active participation of the youth club in climate change resilience in their community through the planting of about 1,000 mangroves plant.

He is urge members of the youth club to do more as we look to the future while climate change remains the single greatest threat to our existence and work together to build a transformed, inclusive and united Fiji.

Bala also thanked the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Qian Bo for his long-term support of Fiji-China relations.
