Prominent lawyer Richard Naidu has not appealed his conviction in his contempt of court case.

This was highlighted by his lawyer, Jon Apted to High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Goundar.

Apted says they have discussed this with two King’s Counsel and have other ways to resolve the matter.

Apted further says they intend to meet the Attorney-General to discuss their position.

The case was brought against Naidu by former Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The case will be called on 5th May.
