Nadi Town Council Acting CEO Muni Reddy says they are in need of qualified professionals who can help the council address long outstanding issues and also confirms they recently lost their Financial Manager as they could not match his salary demands.

While speaking before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Reddy says they really need a CPA Qualified Financial Manager.

He says once they have a CPA Qualified Manager Finance, they will be able to update themselves with the latest updates from within the accounting fraternity.

SODELPA MP, Aseri Radrodro then asked Reddy how much more expense they will incur for an increase in salaries and wages based on the recruitment.

Reddy says they are looking at an increase of 15 percent.

He says they are also checking for market rates for salaries for the new positions.
